Welcome to the new Haunted History of the West Virginia State Penitentiary Page! As many of you may already know, in addition to sharing the ghosts and hauntings of the Mountain State's most popular spooky locations, I also love posting interesting historical information about them as well. I think having a good understanding of the history behind a location can really give us an edge when it comes to understanding WHY a location may be haunted, and of course, who might be haunting it. I created this page to be an invaluable research tool for my team, as well as other investigative teams and researchers out there, looking for accurate and reliable information that may not readily be available elsewhere. In addition to my own articles, I'll also be adding in other links and sources that I think will be beneficial to the study of the West Virginia State Penitentiary. Check back often, because there are plenty of updates to be made and plenty of information to share on this awesome haunted location!
