The Old Hospital on College Hill Resources

Williamson Memorial Hospital
'The Old Hospital on College Hill'
Williamson, WV

*This page is a work in progress! I'll soon be adding an overview of the hospital's history and hauntings, as well as some outside resources, but I needed a quick place to start collecting my articles featuring Williamson Memorial Hospital, now known internationally as The Old Hospital on College Hill. There will be more of those coming soon as well.  I hope this research is able to assist you in your own investigation of this awesome location!*

The Nurse Who Never Clocked Out: When a nurse at the hospital died in her own ER, it is said her spirit never left. I do a little digging to see if I can find any historical validation as to her this ghostly nurse, seen in the basement and throughout the hospital to this day, may be.

The Haunting of Mose Blackburn: After being wounded in a shootout with a police officer, Mose died at the hospital under strange circumstances---he 'jumped' out a third story window. But, some say that isn't exactly what happened, and that Mose's spirit is still at the hospital, trying to set the record straight.

The Murder of Wade Marcum: Deputy Sheriff Wade Marcum was another member of law enforcement to be shot and taken to the Old Hospital on College Hill, known then as Williamson Memorial. His attacker maintained his innocence and Marcum became another on the long list of those who passed away within the hospital's walls.

Damron Family Tragedy: Within the span of about 2 weeks, three members of the Damron Family all passed away from different issues, within the walls of the old hospital.

The Two Doctor Saltons: Biographies on Dr. Russell Salton, Sr. who started Williamson Memorial Hospital alongside Dr. Conley...and his son, Dr. Russell Salton, Jr. who took over in the late 1940's.

Old Hospital on College Hill YouTube Playlist: Theresa has curated a playlist of podcasts and investigation footage videos all about the OHOCH!
